Background
NIC have recently (Dec 2013) completed a project in Cheshire to remove asbestos insulation board soffits from the base of the roof line of three domestic properties.
8 Day Project
The project entailed the removal of approximately 18 linear metres of asbestos containing soffits. This required scaffolding to be erected around the properties to allow our technicians safe access to the roof line.
The project was carried out over an eight day period including scaffolding set up and removal and sealing the interior of the three properties against ingress of asbestos fibre.
UKAS Inspection
On project completion, the asbestos removal was independently inspected by a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) analyst including carrying out a reassurance air test. The premises were then handed back to the client in a certified safe state.
